How to play
- Click the screen once to start (browsers need a click before sound can play). The game types LOAD "" and plays the tape for you.
- The game comes in three parts on the tape: 1 · Qualifying quiz (answer with 1–3 or 4, confirm with Enter; then type your name and get a crew code), 2 · Route selection (Zaire, Amazon, Borneo or D.I.Y.; press Y to accept a route) and 3 · Driving game.
- Driving game: pick 2 (Kempston) to drive with the arrow keys and Tab, or 1 (Keyboard) to drive with Q W E R T.
- Don't press Space while the tape is loading: on a Spectrum that is BREAK and stops the load.
- Your keyboard is the Spectrum keyboard: Shift = Caps Shift, Ctrl or Alt = Symbol Shift, Backspace = Delete. Punctuation such as " , . is mapped automatically.
- Arrow keys act as a joystick (choose the type above); Tab or Right Alt fires.
- The tape stops after each part. When the game asks for the next part, it starts playing again by itself (or press Play). The Load buttons reset and load a specific part directly.
- Save / Restore keep one snapshot in this browser.
